Remote Pastoral Care

We are glad to have the facilities to offer remote pastoral support to all of our pupils and families.

The Pastoral Team and Safeguarding Team will both continue to support and look out for the safety and wellbeing of the Millfield community in very similar ways to actually being in school. The weekly Pastoral Committee remains in place and pupils are discussed in detail, with actions and interventions being put in place as necessary.

Pupils can contact the Pastoral Team through a special email address they have been provided with, if there are any issues they need support with. They also have the usual avenues of support, such as their group tutors (who they continue to see via video call each morning), Heads of Year, houseparents, the chaplain or indeed any member of staff they may need support from.

The school counsellor is continuing to support pupils through Microsoft Teams and giving guidance in the usual manner.

Information pertaining to pastoral needs, welfare, national and international support systems will be shared with members of our community via email, Instagram () and Twitter ()
